ctfmon.exe keeps shutting down

The last day or two the ctfmon.exe keeps "Encountering a problem" and
shutting down when I start the computer, and when I open up either Netscape
Browser or Internet Explorer. I have no idea why this has just started up, as
I've not done anything to the computer in a while. Last thing I did was
upgrade Internet Explorer, but it's been working for a few weeks now without
a hitch, so if it is that I'm not sure why it would only start errors now.

I researched the problem in the knowledgebase, but the only things I can
find are general information on it and how to disable it. I don't necessarily
want to shut the ctfmon.exe down, but I've tried buying a registry fixer
program which didn't work, and am not sure what else I can do to remedy the
problem.

My questions: Is there any way to fix it manually, and if so how? And if I
do have to disable it, will it affect my tablet?

I'm sorry, the error is for the "CTF Loader" though the AppName is listed as
ctfmon.exe. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
