Can any body tell me please that how to export a crystal report in .txt format
Isn't there like a save as button or an export button that you can choose and then select txt?

Hi,

First, their is no such option of txt .format
Second, this process has to be done internally not by the end user
And last, to export the report to text is possible in VB.net 2003

Crystal Reports has the ability to print directly to a printer, as long as that printer is installed on the computer you are running it from.

First I am printing the invoice through the following code:

dim cr as new crystalreport1
cr.printtoprinter(1,false,1,1)

It is a billing project in which I have to print just as a "Slip" or "Cash Memo"

the problem is that the complete paper cames out. I want to print till the text exists else stop printing such as printing in foxpro

the solution to stop the printer in given in the following thread

http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread356034.html

In the above solution the data have to gone as "Raw data format" or "Just Txt".
And it print only text files not ".doc" or "Ms-Word" format file that's why the need to export the crystal report to .txt format

Printing is a little touch and go in .NET it seems. It's possible that no one actualy knows how to do it.
In which case if you are just sitting on your hands, YOU take the initiative to discover a solution and then teach the rest of us.

There is an article here about printing one line a time in .NET
