Hi,
Am developing a webservice. Am wondering how multiple clients will be
handled. Do I need to write anything in code to take care of many clients
or
does IIS take care of it?
What if I'm not using IIS and am writing my own httplistener? In this case
how do I handle multiple clients?
If using IIS, IIS and ASP.NET will take care of it for you. All you have to
do is to realize that each request will occur on a separate worker thread,
so always be careful about modifying shared data.
I'm sorry, but I haven't read up on HttpListeners yet. I expect you'll have
to do for yourself what ASP.NET would do for you, though it's possible that
the HttpListener API will pass requests to you on separate threads. I don't
know one way or the other.
