VB.net - custom combobox(cancel mouse click,after value changes event)

2
Hello

lately i have been trying to make a custom combobox with a few targets.
1. to create a disabled items
2. to create a seperator item
I already managed both properties items. i also managed to draw both items as i want(disabled in gray, seperator as a line).
the problem is the user can click on the items, both the line(since it's actually a '-' item) of the seperator item, and the disabled item.
i know i should overrides the WndProc sub, but i just can't find any documentation about m.msg value. i tried 'playing' with it to find uot the right vaule, but i can't find it. i also looked in WM_ const and CB_ Const, couldn't find anything usefull(i did try some of them).

3. to create a custom event 'AfterValueChanged', so when someone pressed on a specific item in a list, the text property won't HAVE to be that item. any other events combobox has set the text property back to the item at the end of the event, so it doesn't work well.
As well as the first 2 targets, i should probably overrides the WndProc sub again. and again, no idea which value to overrides.

Your, Matan.
