Accidentally wiped files

P: n/a
I was transferring files/documents onto an external hard drive and
accidentally wiped my "My Documents" folder with a lot of important files,
documents etc. Can anyone tell me how to recover them - system restore won't
restore them

Your question would be better placed if asked in a windows group - this is a
..net technology group.

Recover them from the same place you would recover them if your hard drive
was to have crashed or your computer was destroyed in a fire etc - from a
backup. And don't go saying you don't have a backup and also calling files
"important" in the same breath.
