docking and undocking forms in c#

P: 31
Hi!

I have an issue concerning WinForms in C#. My app uses dockable forms inside a panel. The trick is to set a form's TopLevel property to false and add it to the panel's collection with panel.controls.add(myFrm). I also implemented the functionality that undocks the form from the panel on doubleclick. The undocking is done like this:

panel.controls.remove(myFrm);
myFrm.TopLevel=true;
...
It all works fine untill i want to make this form an MDI child, which cannot be a toplevel form. If I didn't use the toplevel trick, after removing the form from a panel, it wouldn't show in any way (although remaining activated in memory)?!

Is there a way to do this? Am I missing some little quirk?

Thnx,

Mecena
