convert from RTF to Text

I am using richtextbox control but I save data in richtext format and text format.
I am just passing rtf to my business layer. Is there anyway I can convert rtf into plain text format.

Post it through a temp variable of string.

string temp = this.richTextBox1.Text;
this.richTextBox1.Text = temp;

this would disable rtf of all Text in richTextBox1;

I want to convert this in Business Layer where I dont want to use richtextbox.

Is there any function that converts RTF to plain text.
