Xp wants a password to access Vista network

I got the Vista & Xp machine on a wired network and I can access the Xp
machine no problem. The trouble is Xp is looking for a Username & password
to access the Vista machine.
In the network and sharing center, If I select public folder sharing or
Printer sharing, it says that a password is required.
Where exactly does this password come from? I have no password on either
machine.
I de-selected public folder sharing and printer sharing but that still
didn't solve that issue.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello so_y_not69,

Do you need the sample how to logon programmatically on the shared resources
or what? :)
