error in VB.NET

hi ppl,

im getting this error when im viewing the site i created.



Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Line 58: ddlCategory.DataTextField = "CategoryName"

anyone can give any tips what i should about this.....ive tried to solve it but i just cant hit it right.

im also getting this error when i view a different page of the site.

The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ThreeDs\Database\ThreeDs.mdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

Line 215: Dim dt As New DataTable
Line 216: Dim da As New OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter(com)
Line 217: da.Fill(dt) {error line}
Line 218: Return dt
Line 219: End Function

i would appreciate if someone would give me some pointers

first check db connection is opened two more time with out closing one.
