VB.NET Noob Code for "Diamond"

P: 2
"Diamond of Asterisks"

Sorry to all the experienced users who will think I'm lame for asking this question, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out the VB.NET code to create a "Diamond of stars" that looks like this:

There are 9 rows and 9 columns, i know there are a couple for-next loops in there, one of which has a "step 2" for adding the *'s and steps for adding spaces, then followed by ControlChars.NewLine. I just can't get it to save my life. If there's anyone that knows how to create this code, I would really appreciate it... Thank you very much!

We know how, but if you read the posting guidelines, you will see that we will not do a homework assignment for you. We will try to help you with specific questions, but in such a way that you learn the material. So, what have you done? What are you puzzled about? What are you currently learning and how does that apply to your problem. If you ask specific questions, you will probably get answers. --Sam
