C# - WINFORM : need help in counting data in Access database

21
hi all,
im facing this problem and do not know where to start from.
Lets say i have this column called 'In-Charge".

In-Charge
John
John
John
Mary
David
Mary
Peter
David
John
Mary

given the example as shown above, by looking at it, i will know that the name "John" appears the most number of times. How do i get the value of the appearance count for each name and display only the top 3 appearance count? In this case it should be 1st = John, 2nd = Mary, 3rd = David. Appearance count will be John = 4, Mary = 3, David =2.

Please help, ur help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!!
