c# constructor

I come from c++, the way I usually do it is by calling the set methods in the constructor block, after I implement the set and get methods of course. In c#, you implement the set and get, and in the constructor, you set values again!
EX:
class myClass
{
private int x;
public myClass(int xIn)
{
x = xIn;
}

public int X
set
{
x = value;
}
get
{
return x;
}
}

what is the purpose of set method if I am setting it already in the constructor, can I use it the there?
