Can you explain your scenario in more details?
I mean what kind of app. are you building? Console or Win Forms?
And what excactly are you trying to achieve?

You could probably accomplish your task with something like this:

System.IO.StreamWriter sw=System.IO.File.CreateText(FileName);
sw.Write(TextString);
sw.Write("\r\n");
sw.WriteLine(MoreTextString);
sw.Close();
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(FileName);


If you dig deeper into the Process object you will find ways to run things "in the background" and the like.
