Getting bindingRedirect to work with an executable

Here is my config file for foo.exe. I have two versions of FooServer in the GAC, and "foo" was compiled for I want it to use but it still calls Fuslogvw is not showing any problems. I can tell that foo is reading the config file, since putting bad values in there causes an error, but it seems to be ignoring the bindingRedirect tag.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
<assemblyIdentitiy type="win32"
culture="neutral" />
<bindingRedirect oldVersion=""
newVersion="" />

Welcome to the site. Have you tried removing version=""?
