I have a complete solution file that compiles and builds fine on my machine. In the solution, I have a reference to an external dll (IBM.Data.DB2.dll).
When I take the solution file to another machine, it doesn't compile (missing directive or reference) Expected since the dll didn't exist in that location for that machine.
So, I want to use a relative path to reference the dll. However, whenever I define the dll, it seems that the full path gets expanded in the solution file (and listed in the properties window for the reference). I have not been able to find a way to edit it to make it relative!
Is there a way to make the reference use a realtive path in VS 2003 (does 2005 support this if 2003 doesn't?) or do I simply need to find a path that can live on both machines.
Any suggestions on this would be welcome.
