drop down list control

I have a dropdown list box and i wann to select a value...note tht in drop down data comes from data base and i wann to visible a image button on my choice selected item...how can i do it...plz any body help me. i m using asp.net 2.0.

check for the selected item and set the image visible as true.

if(selecteditem.equals("itemname"))

image.visible=true;
}

Dear Matvin. 1st of all Thnx for reply and help but sorry to say it send the error...

Error 30 The name 'SelectedItem' does not exist in the current context
