CONFIG.EXE make noise

hi guys,

i am having a weird problem here with my laptop. i am using windows xp home
edition service pack2. the problem occur since i updated my windows xp tru
internet. The windows "Default Beep" keep beeping every 3 second. it still
happen even i restart my laptop.And til today i realise that when i open up
the window task manager and end the "CONFIG.EXE" process, the anoying beep
sound gone. Can i know what is going on and how to fix it?
