windows live messenger.

I am rather new to the window vista program. I am trying to run msn
messenger, and it was installed on pc wheni got it, it keeps saying, that
windows has closed it. i cannot for the life of me, figure out how to get it
to work. when i first start it says DEP has closed it any help i can get,
i would appreciate. Thanks
