How to clear the text which are stored in dropdown box

P: 5
Hello,

My doubt is,I am doing a banking project.
If i login for the first time there are no previous dropdown list of
previous entries.

If i login the next time.Instead of going into the clear history and clearing.
Is there any other way where it should not get stored at all..
Since it is risky if the username gets stored.

can anyone help me for my doubt?

I don't understand what you are trying to do.
Is the dropDownList displaying all of the previous logins? transactions?

I do not understand what is happening when the user "clears history".

Could you please provide a bit more information?
Maybe supply snippets of your code related to your problem?

It sounds like he's got a Username and Password field on a log in form. When visiting the site a second time, the browser is caching the previous values and displaying them.

If the field is set to type of "Password", it should not be caching with a dropdown. However, personal browser settings will allow a user to store his/her password for that site, and there isn't much you can do to prevent that.

Actually my doubt is...

I have done a project in C#.Net...
You must have seen in normal gmail/yahoo..while we login for the second time
or so..our username is shown below in a box like dropdown..and we can jus select and type in the password and login na..

same way actually i do not want tht box to be shown. becoz am working on banking project.None of the user name should be stored.I do not want that to shown..Is there anyway by code we can set that rite??

hope u got my doubt...

Hello

i dont think that is a problem with your code ,its browsers cache which holds previous data in that ,when ever the browers chache is cleared all that will be cleared as for my knowledge we cannot change the client side browser properties through the application

If any solution Please try to post it
