Ignore class members at pinvoke

27
Hello,
Is there a way, that the marshaler ignores some fields?

[StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential, CharSet = CharSet.Unicode)]
class Job
{
int id;
[MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPTStr)]
string name;

//this should be ignored
int handle;
}

so, if I do Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(Job)), it should return 4.
This is because the Job contains some other methods, that share a handle, but when receiving the Jobs over pinvoke, the handle member should be "invisible".

Thanks!

If you only need to reference one instance then you could simply remove the handle from the definition. You will simply ignore the elements which you do not need. HTH.
