Access to FTP server through HTTP proxy

Hi!

I'm using the FtpWebRequest/Response classes with .NET 2.0 to list
directory and download files from FTP servers in my program. All worked
fine until I had to go through a proxy server.

For example, when I make request to list a directory without proxy I get
a response which has all filenames in the directory separated by CR/LF.
When I use a WebProxy in conjunction with the FtpWebRequest, I get a
very strange HTML from the proxy server, that has nothing to do with the
directory contents. Even there are no hyper links to the actual files,
nor anything connected with the files in the directory.

I tested with Squid and Proxy+. Please, can anyone lead me towards a
solution to the use of FtpWebRequest with a WebProxy class.

Best regards, L.V.
