Multithreading in WindowsService

1
Hi all,
Am new to Multithreading. I need a help from you. I want to write a WindowsService in VB.Net, which will ping all the systems in the network using its IP Address which is stored in a database. Now it should ping the system and store the output in a text file. Am able to do this one by one. But i need to ping all the systems or set by set (each 20 or 50 systems) at a stretch. For this issue, i need guidence or help from your side.... please give me your valuable guidence for this issue....
