Beginner Question

I have a main form that contains a listbox that functions as a shopping cart and needs to hold items that are selected from two different listboxes on other forms in the program. Also, I need to assign values to the certain entries in the product listboxes and add them to a value and be able to have more than one go in the shopping cart. Could anyone give me any tips? Thanks.

Hi Trence and welcome to the Scripts!

You're going to have to keep the information collected from your all of your forms in a "persistent state". This means that you have to store the information you've collected somewhere as your user moves between your pages.

Since you're doing a shopping cart type thing I'd suggest storing the information into Session.

Say the user selects "Apples" from your list box on a page called Produce.
You'd need to store somehow store "Apples" (or its identifier) into your session so that when the user gets to the "check-out" page you can remember what they had selected on your Produce page and do the proper calculations.

Does this help at all?
