Send meeting requests in Asp.net

Hi,

I have to send meeting request through my .net application. Is it possible to send this by Sql Server 2000 or do I have to use Asp.net to send the same? How can iCalendar help me to achieve this task?

Welcome to the site. You need a .NET application to do this for you. Don't know about iCalendar but one way to achieve this would be through a web service. What have you tried so far?

Hi Kenobewan,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes, I have a .Net web application from which I want to schedule a meeting. I can schedule it through by using the Microsoft Outlook 11.0 object library. But I can't use this as it fails on the production enviornment because of the enviornment setup. My prod server is outside the domain and hence mails cannot be fired from code behind. We fire all our mails from Sql Server which is inside the domain and hence capable of firing mails. If you propose web service will the prod enviornment restrict it form sending mails or meeting requests? If no then what should I use to send meeting requests. Any little help will be highly appreciated.

Any luck with this so far? Maybe you could look at the Ajax timer control?
