COM Interop Access to the registry key denied

Hi, i created a component in .net 2.0 , theres a portion in the component that reads some stuff from the win32 registry

i tested this component in another desktop application dev. in 2.0

eventually this component was to be used in ASP 3 via COM interop

when I call the component methods i get the following error:

Error Type:
mscorlib (0x80070005)
Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\*****' is denied.

any idea? this works fine from any other .net App

Welcome to the site. Unfortunately, when access denied is not a simple permission error you may need to use the Registry Editor to resolve. But be careful if you are not experienced.
