ASP.NET Framework version 1.1

Hello,

I have an application residing on the shared drive and uses ASP.NET Framework version 1.1(This is the server).
However If I try to open the project file from my local system its saying..'You are running on old version and you should migrate to newer version before use.'
I have both ASP.NET Framework version 1.1 and 2.0 installed in my local machine. Now how do I change the settings in my local machine so that It souldn't ask for migrating to newer version. (That is basically I should use ASP.NET Framework version 1.1)

I think there is a setting you can make in your config file for your project that forces it to use .net 1.1. I'm sorry I cant be much more help then that. Try searching on MSDN for a solution.

You could try adding the legacy reference in the web.config. Please backup before attempting this.

<xhtmlConformance mode="Legacy"/>

However, I believe that the problem is using VS2005 with the 1.1 application. To keep it 'pure' 1.1, I believe you will need to edit it in VS2003 if possible.
