Maste Page 2005

Hi,

I want to start building the master page in VISUAL STUDIO 2005.
I want to learn about how to start creating the master pages??
I know that we can use multiple master pages in different forms...

I want to know what's the content place holder and is it required for the first master page ??Is there any way to delete or move that place holder...

If there's any link for designin master pages then pls post here...
