PROBLEMS WITH POWERPOINT AND WINDOWS MEDIA

Hi,

I have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2
Build 2600.
Recently I'm unable to open emails which have certain attachments. These are:

..pps files (Type: Application/octet-stream)
Type: video/x-ms-wmv

Any email attachments that come with the above are all unable to be opened.
When the video emails as above go automatically to Windows Media Player they
come up with an error message and are unable to be played.

Your help with the above would be greatly appreciated as Im slowly going
crazy from frustration.

This is a .Net Programming newsgroup.

If you want help with your question, please try posting your message to a
newsgroup with "windows" in the description. They are on the bottom of the
dropdown list in the MS Discussion Group interface.

Or look for a group with "Outlook" in the name (assuming you are using
Outlook as your e-mail program).
