Using a Web Service as a Data Source in Visual Studio 2005

I'm trying to use a Web Service as a Data Source for a Windows Application in
Visual Studio 2005.
The Web Service returns a strongly typed DataSet, and works fine with web
pages.
I've added a web reference to the Web Service, and it appears in my Data
Source window with the correct table schema.
When I use it as a data source for a DataGridView(by dragging it onto my
Form) no data populates the grid. The table appears with the proper column
headings, but no data.
Obviously, I'm missing a step to get the Application to actually retrieve
the data from the Web Service, but I can't figure out where.
Any insight would be appreciated.
