vb.net 2005 and vc++

Hi everyone,
I am starting a challenging project that consists of a vb.net 2005 front end and a commercial 3d engine in the back that is written in c++. I am planning on embedding the 3d engine window inside the vb front end. My question is what would be the best approach for the two apps to communicate in real time like handling events. For example, I would like to capture the mouse click in the vb app and delegate it to the 3d engine to create a specific effect.

Hi. If your c++ app is in the form of a dll or com with a suitable interface you can use it in your vb.net app.
