Windows Exp Hangs-Event View ERRORS

Please help!!! My Windows Explorer hangs up and I cant seem to fix this.
When I try to turn on my external hard drive or begin to copy to this, my pc
definitely does NOT like it. It also (at times) can just hang up when I am
looking inside different folders in Windows Explorer.

Problems started just recently. I need this working asap as I can't copy
any of my clients data. This is cruical to fix but I am at a loss.

I have had Microsoft XP w/SP2 for a long time and havent done anything
recently except for updating to IE7.

I did go to Start Adm Tools Event View

I have errors in my Event View. I don't know what to do at this point but I
so much appreciate any help PLEASE...

start from scratch?

Why the internet explorer when it is windows explorer that is my problem?

Sorry, misread it. Post it to microsoft.public.windows or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.

Where are you posting it from? What website are you using/

Hi Robin,

I posted it as you advised. Thanks. Hopefully someone will respond to it.

BTW-I am using the community newsgroups.. I just don't know much about how
this newsgroup works but I figured out enough. I simply started a new post
in the area that I should have done the first time.

There are many ways to get to the newsgroups, so I'm just wondering. I
mean, there's Google groups, and you can use Outlook Express, and there's
Microsoft and there are other newsreaders as well. So when you say you are
using the community newsgroups, do you mean through microsoft.com?
