Recommendations required for new VS application

Hi
I am a visual studio 2003 developer, I have been assigned a new project
which is basically a windows application with graphical designer (something
like a windows paint application), with the interaction with database to
store the configurations on each design.
So question is should I go ahead with vs2003 or use vs2005? Are there any
advantages going with vs2003? Basically I will be using the drawing
namespaces from Visual Studio. I am inclined towards using vs2005 as I will
get exposure to latest Visual Studio.
But I need recommendation from people who used both VS versions

Any feedback is appreciated.

If you have a choice, use Visual Studio 2005. It is now the year 2007.
