How to use two web.config file in different folder in one application?

here i have to use two web.config file in one application. But when i m going to build or run my application, compiler gives error like -----> It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

Line 82: ASP.NET to identify an incoming user.
Line 83: -->
Line 84: <authentication mode="None"/>
Line 85: <!--
Line 86: The <customErrors> section enables configuration

Hi Anil, welcome to the Scripts!

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to web.config files but from what I understand you are only allowed to have one per project.

The web.config file is what tells the IIS how to handle your web-project. If there is more than one I can see why there would be such an error.

I'd strongly advise against having 2. I would suggest you create one web.config file and re-configure it to better suit your project's needs.

Is there any particular reason why you'd need 2?
