Recovering CD and product key

I have misplaced my Disc 2 and the original package with the product key for
Visual Studio .Net 2003 Professional.

Can anyone suggect how to replace these items. I have a copy of the Disc 1
and the software is installed on my machine.

Probably your best bet would be to call Microsoft and explain what happened.
If you have the original receipt, or can prove that you own the product,
they will replace the lost disc.

Did that but they insisted on some proof. Is there some way to get the
product id from the system registry?

I suspect it may not be possible to recover your product key, but to be
sure your best bet is probably to contact official Microsoft support
channels in your country. I believe this page is a central starting point
