Getting system.io.fileloadexception with C# Windows Service

Hi,

I have a windows C# service program which links to a managed C++ dll. In my development environment (MS XP Pro), the service runs fine.

When I install the service onto our test servers (Windows 2003), I am getting the following error recorded in the event log when I try to start the service "system.io.fileloadexception".

Thru the process of elimination, I have determined the problem is with the SCM trying to load the service executable with the C++ dll. I have verified all dependent dlls are in place.

Any suggestions?

Hi Scallejo

I am running into the same problems as you. Did you manage to solve your problem? If so, can you share that with me.

Thanks,
Gawie
