Importing messages to winXP from win 95 inbox.mbx

I have messages in inbox.mbx from a CD copied from an old win 95 computer
which I want to import to Win XP OE. Tried OE import, no go! The .mbx file
type must be the problem. Is there a work around ? The old win95 machine is
not available, just the CD with OE files - inbox, outbox sent items etc.

Post this to a more appropriate newsgroup, like Windows. This is a .Net
Programming newsgroup.

Hi, I did that and got some help which worked. However, in view of your
comment, I see plenty of other posts here on the same subject, which is why I
posted here !

Yes, and every single one of them has a response that tells them this is
the wrong newsgroup. We're getting a lot of these suddenly. Can you tell me
why people are posting to a newsgroup called
microsoft.public.dotnet.general?

Thanks,
Robin S.

It's not the end of the world. But can you tell me why you thought this was
the right newsgroup? Did it not show the newsgroup name, or were you
guessing?

Thanks,
Robin S.
