ActiveSync 4.2 w/ Motorola Q on Sony Vaio

I can not sync my Motorola Q with my Sony Vaio. Using ActiveSync 4.2. Sony
Vaio using XP. Using Microsoft Office 2000. Trying to only sync contact
info.
Works fine when using my HP Tablet using XP for tablets. Worked on desktop
running XP. Will not work on Sony Vaio. Have uninstalled ActiveSync and
reinstalled but did not work.
Went into "Settings" "Connections" "USB to PC" and unchecked "Enable
advanced network funcionality" as recommended in previous post. Did not work.
ActiveSync "beeps" showing connection. Says "Synchronizing" then Looking
for Changes." Spends about 1.5 seconds "Looking for Changes" and then says
"Connected" and "Synchronized." But nothing is.
I have info on Motorola Q and Sony Vaio laptop that I want to sync back and
forth. Total contacts about 1,500.

Please help!! Thanks!

These groups are public; they are not owned by Microsoft. To get an answer
from Microsoft in one of the .Net newsgroups, you have to have an MSDN
subscription.

That said, I would point out (as I did when you reposted this) that this
has nothing to do with the name of the group, which is .Net programming.

So if you would like an answer, you will have better success using a
different group. Frankly, since it works on the HP Tablet but not on the
Sony Vaio, I would think this is a Sony Vaio issue, not a Microsoft issue.
You might try comp.sys.laptops or comp.laptops, or see if the Sony website
has some forums. Or call them.

Good luck.
