How to use ajax in .NET

HI all...

can anyone tell me how we can use AJAX in C#.NET?
i have a textbox in my web form...after entering data on pressing a tab
it should do some functions like checking d database and all...
i have to use ajax for this...please help...

in .Net 2005 (FW 2.0) we have ATLAS which will not postback controls justlike AJAX

Can you give some idea regarding Atlas .

i have downloaded atlas 1.something from microsoft downloads and installed it

i am able to in my visualstudio at startup page like Atlaswebsite too

but if i select that option am i able to get all my asp.net features and additional

atlas features or what will be the difference here

You have to select Atlaswebproject ratherthan Web Project and in toolbox select Atlas Manager and atlas pannel
you know what are the controls will postback (Like Command,Textbox,..etc), place that controls in that pannel and in HTML designe you have to write your code

They don't call it Atlas any more.

I have just started using Ajax in .NET

You should be looking for the ASP.NET AJAX package.

You can find the package with the pre-made extensions Here along with a toolkit with lots of good examples to get you started.

Please note that you will need Visual Studio 2005 to use this package.
