Best configuration for developers

Hi,

As a .NET developer I want to run SQL Server 2005 and IIS on my
laptop. I've already upgraded to Office 2005, and now I'd like to
explore Vista (Ultimate). I've not been in the beta program, so I
haven't used Vista yet.

Question... is Vista Ultimate the appropriate platform for developers
(to use VS 2005, SQL Server, & IIS)?

Thanks,

S.Shuster

I use Windows XP x64 for my day-to-day development environment. My laptop
has Vista Ultimate on it, and I do some VS2005 work on there, but not a
whole lot. I think until the Vista Patch for Visual Studio is officially
released, I'll keep my workstation running Windows XP x64.

Both machines have Office 2007 & SQL Server 2005 (Express & Developer
Editions).
