Hello, Sharon.

Hi Shannon,
I cant find the printer icon in office word 07????its nowhere!!
Yes, the new look and feel of Office 2007 products takes a little while to
master, but once you take the time, I think you find it better than the old.

To print with Word 2007 (and to see the more traditional File-menu) you need
to click the large, round "Office Button" at the very top-left of the
window. It opens the menu, and from there you can point to Print.

If you need to print often, you can also customize the Quick Access Toolbar,
which by default has the Save and Undo/Redo commands in it. To do so, click
the tiny down arrow icon on their right-hand side, and then select Quick
Print. This helps you print to your default printer fast.

Thanks!

PS. This newsgroup (microsoft.public.dotnet.general) is a .NET software
development newsgroup, so if you need other help with your new Word, I
suggest that you use a more appropriate newsgroup, unless of course, your
question in .NET programming related.

Shannon,

If you click on the 'Office Button' in the upper left-hand corner of the
Word 2007 window (to the left of the save icon), you will find multiple
options, including 'Print' options.

Shannon,

In addition to Gary's solution, you can place a print icon in the Quick
Access Toolbar (the icons just to the right of the Windows button and above
the Word "tabs").

Click on the windowshade arrow at the end of the toolbar. A drop-down menu
will appear. Choose "More Commands". You will see a drop-down menu that will
read "Popular Commands" in the upper-left corner. In that menu select "All
Commands". Scroll through the alphabetical list until you find "Print" and
click on it (should highlight). Then, click the "Add" button in the middle of
the two lists. You should a "Print" icon appear in the right-hand list. Click
"OK" at the bottom of the window.

Now, you should see the "Print" icon in your "Quick Access Toolbar" at the
top of Word. Any time you want to print, just click the icon, and you will be
presented with the printing options window.

Add any frequently used icons to this toolbar, and you'll never have to
search for them.

Cheers,

GB DC
