Had this problem also once
Funny thingy was that the webserver at the provider wasn`t a cluster and
also that my code did not changed from when it did work without anny
problems
So after the provider blamed me , my code would probably have an error etc
etc ( those dumb techy`s :-) ) i asked them to put my project in a
sperate application pool as i thought that probaly other projects running in
the same app pool interfered with my program , so they did and the problem
was solved .
After doing some investigating on the web i understood that it had something
to do with the parsetime of the webserver, however in my situation probelm
was solved with a seperate app pool \
so i recomend you to try this option out

I am getting this when I run it on asp.net 2.0 but works find on asp.net
1.1
Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web
Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKeyconfiguration specifies the same
validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a
cluster.
Please help. Thanks.
