migrating from visual c++ 6.0 to visual c++7.1

visual c++ .net 2003 is also called as visual c++ 7.1.

now i am migrating my project which is built on visual c++ 6.0 to visual studio .net 2003
is there any spacific procedure to migrate it. i am finding lots of compile time error which is 1000 in number. plz do help me
