Resizing window to contents

This is a javascript/.Net problem so sorry if tis not meant to be in here.

I have a chart image and a grid view being built around dynamic data to be displayed in a new pop up window. I was wondering if there is a way to use the sizes of these objects to specify how big the window should be?

The javascript to open a new window is being built by VB.NET using the RegisterClientScriptBlock. So I need get the sizes in VB or Javascript.

My biggest problem is getting the size of the gridview.

Any help would be much appreciated.

One way may be to place them each in a panel in the new window and set the dimensions you want with scrolling so that larger objects can be viewed...

Otherwise, with paging on you may be able to work out the size of the gridview. You may find this article helpful for the image:
