COm interoperability with .net applns

hi,
i have a COm component(VC++) which has a method returning Variant. The Com client is in C#.net and i need to dynamically invoke the method. the problem is i cudnt pass variant parameter from .net.Actually variant parameter is a [out] parameter.

Hi,
You can't pass variant parameters in .net managed code. Its a bug in .net and also fixed now. You have to use the HOTFIX available from MS.

Hotfixes 818981, 818982 and 822878

what is HOTFIX. can u pls tell me abt it? is there any other method of passing variant from managed code?
