postback problem

I created a form in asp.net using c#.I have a link button in that form.

when mouse is over that link, shows a message on status bar as
javascript:_doPostBack('name of linkbutton',").

And on click it shows the message
"error on page".

can anyone help me with this.

I remember having a similar problem when I had provided a javaScript and had the SmartNavigation value set to true. I had to set it to false in order to get rid of that error message...even though everything appeared to work fine.

Hope this helps you.
