Crainiate release Objecto Framework for agile data orientated development

Reading, Berkshire, UK - Crainiate Software announce the release of
Objecto Framework 1.0, a new component framework 5 years in
development, designed to make it easy for programmers to create agile
persisted business objects that are reusable, customisable and
scalable, without additional developer tools.

Objecto uses new object persistence and managed database technology to
allow developers to create objects that are seamlessly deployed, saved
to and retrieved from a Microsoft SQL Server database. The Enterprise
edition includes a remoting provider and support for clustering in a
multi server environment.

Entire CRM, Financial and other business systems created using Objecto
can be reused and extended by other developers, without access to the
original source code and without manual changes to the underlying
database. Systems using Objecto are more agile and can be changed and
redeployed more quickly.

Product features and benefits:
* Create a framework of scalable, reusable and extensible business
objects with built-in support for remote access and clustering
* Increase developer productivity by defining the structure of data in
one place only
* Create customizable data-driven applications and services which can
be modified and enhanced by users and other developers without access
to the source code
* Automatically deploy data-driven applications and updates in a safe
and controlled manner
* Reduce dependence on specialized SQL Server skills
* No need for developer tools or mapping files, everything required is
contained within the Objecto component.

James Westgate, Technical Director of Crainiate Software: "Component
vendors have done a great job to bring increased productivity when
building the presentation layer of an application - the portion of an
application containing the visual interface users work with. We wanted
to bring the same benefits to developers writing the other layers of
these systems. Objecto increases productivity and provides a better way
to define and process business data and the associated rules when
creating a business application."

"Utilising the power of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Visual
Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005, Objecto Framework 1.0 helps developers
concentrate on delivering flexible business solutions on time and
within budget." said Joe Marini, Group Product Manager, Visual Studio
Industry Partners at Microsoft Corp.

The standard version of the Objecto Framework is available for use free
of charge. More information can be obtained from the Crainiate website
