.NET Webservice interaction with Borland SOAP (UTF-32 widestring conversion-problem)

hello

i have written a .net-webservice in c#.

the client who accesses my service has a borland-webservice, written in
delphi. all text-contents delivered in string-arrays from the
borland-ws are utf-32 encoded (widestring).

when i retrieve the data (delivered in string-arrays) from the request,
the encoding is wrong: all special characters (e.g. umlaute (ü, é,
....)) are replaced with question-marks.

does anybody know, how i can convert these utf-32 widestrings to a
utf-8 character-format without loosing any information?

thanks in advance
rudy
