versioning problem in .NET framework

11
Hi all,

I am using .NET 2.0 framework over my hosting server. I want to install
.NET 1.1 too on the same server to run some of my web projects. Will I face any problem? If yes please tell me the problems.

This is an argent requirement. Please respond me soon if any one have the answer.

Thanks

Sounds like you don't have a test environment? If you did you wouldn't have to take anyones word for it, i.e. I strongly recommend that you do to avoid this type of situation (and the development PC won't cut it).

Enough preaching - as you are aware MS say that there is no problem and you get to select the version that the application runs on, 2.0 or 1.1. The caveat is that most people go from 1.1 to 2.0, so its more a case of buyer beware I would assume.

So if your development system is the same OS etc try there first, but backup, backup, backup - and not on the same system (ok this was preachy again).

Please share the results so that we may all benefit from your experience.

Hope that this information is helpful :).
