Julian Calendar

24
I need to get the DayofYear from the Julian Calander and I am using the
"JulianCalendar" class from System.Globalization.

There is a method called "GetDayOfYear" which takes the date as input parameter and spits out the Julian Day of the year.

But for some reason, it looks incorrect to me or I am not sure what I am doin wrong.

It gives incorrect day of year. Here is the code..

Dim JC As New JulianCalendar
Dim DayOfYear As Integer
Dim myDT As New DateTime(2006, 1, 4, New GregorianCalendar)
DayOfYear = JC.GetDayOfYear(myDT)

The date given above is Jan 4th of 2006 and this returns 356 instead of 4.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
YMK
