Any decent book on WCF (Indigo)?

Hi,

I am starting a new Smart Client project and wanted to employ th enew WF
techniques, Communication Foundation in particular, but i can't find a
good book - seems like all are scheduled to go out early next year, so
i'm trying to get the idea by reading blogs and msdn articles but i do
feel i'm still missing it.

Any idea on a good (and up-to-date) WFC book?

Thank you,
MuZZy

Hello MuZZy

Yes, as the .NET framework 3.0 is just comming, most of the technical
resources about the .NET 3.0 specific programming (such as WPF, WCF,
WFF...) are from those MSDN netframework development center or some .net
3.0 specific technical sites.

So far, I haven't found many up-to-date book info on WCF. Here are two of
the existing ones:

#Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation: Hands-on (Paperback)
http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wind...on-Hands-/dp/0
672328771

#Professional WCF Programming: .NET Development with the Windows
Communication Foundation (Paperback)
http://www.amazon.com/Professional-W...-Communication
/dp/0470089849

and the "Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation: Hands-on" one is also
recommended on some official .NET development sites.

In addition, for latest info on .NET 3.0 developing, you can always keep
close monitoring on the following sites:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/net.../aa663324.aspx

http://www.netfx3.com/

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Thanks Steve! I just ordered the Hands-On one. Though some reviewers say
it's outdated now i hope i'll still get some idea of what it is.
